Cameras installed at Tan Son Nhat Airport baggage handling stations

Dang Tuan Tu, director of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that many passengers had experienced thefts from their luggage.    

The cameras are equipped for the areas where luggage was moved from aeroplanes to the conveyor belts at both domestic and international terminals.

Last year, a luggage handler at Tan Son Nhat International Airport was caught after stealing two smartphones from passengers.

In 2017, another employee at the airport had to return USD1,400 he stole from a Japanese passenger's bag after the act was exposed by security.
