Cambodia inaugurates Vietnam-funded radio station

VOV.VN - An FM radio station built by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) with the use of Vietnamese non-refundable aid was inaugurated in Kampong Speu province, Cambodia on April 25.

The radio station in Kampong Speu Province is one of a range of projects which are being implemented within the framework of an economic, cultural, education, scientific, and technological cooperation agreement between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Addressing the ceremony, Men Som Nuon, director of the provincial Department of Information, expressed her sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Government and VOV for the support they have offered to the Cambodian broadcasting sector in recent times.

It is a high quality station with a wide range of coverage, said Mrs Nuon, adding that it will contribute to disseminating information, the Party’s policies and guidelines, laws, and the State’s socio-economic development plans to the country’s citizens.
