Bonsai pomelo tree garden much sought by Hanoi customers

VOV.VN - As Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday approaches closer by the rise and fall of the sun, Vietnamese ornamental plant growers in Van Giang village, northern  Hung Yen province, are busier tending and receiving a raft of orders for bonsai pomelo trees.

Bonsai pomelo tree is one of customers’ favorite for Tet.
In order to meet the increasing demand by customers, ornamental plant growers have come up with eye-catching and unique designs.
Bonsai pomelo trees are planted in pots. 
Vietnamese farmers have to use a crane to lift the big trees onto the truck.
The price for a pot of bonsai pomelo tree ranges between ten million to several tens million of Vietnam dong depending on size, shape, and number of fruits.
According to an orchard owner, some old Bonsai pomelo trees are sold at hundreds of millions Vietnam dong.
 
 
All bonsai pomelo trees are grafted by skillful farmers.
