Blown tire causes truck to rollover on National Highway 1
VOV.VN - A semi-tractor blew a tire and rolled over on National Highway 1 in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, August 21, that led to overnight closures and massive efforts to repair the roads in time for morning rush hour.

Police said the driver of the truck, his wife and 7-year-old son, which was carrying barrels of oil, were miraculously not injured, suffering only minor injuries in the accident that occurred at approximately 3am near the entrance to the Vinh Loc Industrial Park.
The accident, pushed thousands of motorbikes and other vehicles into alternate routes and jammed up roadways after it struck an overhead bridge and knocked out utility poles in the crash that followed the tire explosion.
After working overnight, emergency crews sufficiently reopened the interstate in time for the morning rush hour to resume near normal traffic. The crews will be going back to perform better repairs in the coming weeks.
