The number of bird flu affected communes nationwide by January 25 has decreased by seven compared to three days before, according to the Veterinary Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

A total of 32 communes in seven southern localities, namely Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Kien Giang, Soc Trang and Can Tho city, are exerting efforts to contain bird flu outbreaks.

 

On January 26, the MARD sent working groups to Mekong delta provinces to inspect and promote anti-bird flu efforts. These provinces include Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, Long An, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, An Giang and Dong Thap.
