A big requiem will be held at three cemeteries in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue next week to commemorate war martyrs, according to the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

The mass, the first of its kind in the province, is to show local people’s deep gratitude towards soldiers who laid down their lives on the battlefields to liberate Thua Thien-Hue 35 years ago.

Participants will burn incense, light candles and lay floral wreaths at gravels in Phong Dien district on March 19, Hue city on March 20 and Phu Vang district on March 22.
