They include those getting a first from 52 colleges and universities in Hanoi and top prize at national and international examinations.

The awards ceremony will take place at Quoc Tu Giam Temple – the first university in Vietnam – on August 28.

Ngo Huy Hieu, secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Committee and chairman of the Hanoi Students’ Association said the city has recruited 65 distinguished students to work for its agencies and they have made an outstanding contribution.

During the event, which will take place in Hanoi and Hai Phong from August 26 to 28, the honorees will attend a forum on initiatives to build and develop the capital and talks on youth responsibility for maintaining and protecting national sea and islands.
