The Austrian Ambassador to Vietnam Georg Heindl said in a working visit to the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on November 30 that his government has accepted to provide an ODA package of 17 million euro for the province to upgrade the Cancer Centre at the Hue National Hospital.
In a meeting with Mr Heindl, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thien thanked the Austrian government for their help and expressed his wish that Thua Thien- Hue will continue to receive such assistance, especially in the fields of education, science, technology, music and fine arts.
Thua Thien-Hue also suggested some proposals on the implementation of some integrated programmes to encourage and foster Austrian business invesment.
Hue University is taking the lead in cooperating with Austrian universities to launch joint BA and MA courses in tourism administration.
