Australian navy ship HMAS Ballarat visits Danang
VOV.VN - The Australian Navy warship, HMAS Ballarat, landed Tien Sa port on June 4, beginning a goodwill visit to the central city of Danang from June 4-8.
The ship’s Commander and crew are scheduled to meet pay a courtesy visit to the High Command of Military Zone 5, the High Command of Navy Region 3, and leaders of the Danang People’s Committee.
They will have sport activities with officers and soldiers of the High Command of Navy Region 3, and visited places of interests in Danang, Hoi An and Hue.
The guided missile frigate HMAS Ballarat with 166 officers and sailors on board is commanded by Commander David Landon, CSM, Royal Australian Navy (RAN). HMAS Ballarat is an ANZAC Class guided missile frigate with roles including air defence, anti-submarine and surface warfare, surveillance, interdiction and reconnaissance.
HMAS Ballarat is the 23rd Royal Australian Navy (RAN) warship making a goodwill visit to Vietnam since the establishment of bilateral defence ties.
