Australian fundraisers donated shower chairs for children with disabilities
VOV.VN - On June 8th, Project Abroad staff and volunteers arrived at the Friendship Village in Hanoi and donated a shower chair funded by a former volunteer to help a disabled girl in the facility.

Friendship Village was founded by US veteran, George Mizo, and other veterans in 1998. The founders shared the desire for peace and reconciliation after the American War in Vietnam.
The Village offers therapeutic help for mentally and physically disabled children and provide them with educational training and medical care. Adults who suffer from the consequences of the War can also receive help in the Village. For more information on Friendship Village, please visit http://langhuunghi.vn.
The girl who received the shower chair was Loan. She suffered from Orange Agent as a consequence of the War. Due to her physical disability, she often fells down while taking showers. A former Project Abroad volunteer, Sema Diler, decided to bring in one shower chair for Loan. After she returned to Australia, she organized fundraising for three more shower chairs in order to solve this problem and make showering safe for Loan and other girls. So far, Loan has received her shower chair, and the rest of the chairs will be arriving on July 2017.
