Ashes of deceased Vietnamese woman in Japan brought home

VOV.VN - The ashes of a 24-year-old Vietnamese woman who was recent found dead in Japan have finally been brought back to her home in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak for a memorial and burial service.

The woman followed a training course in Japan in 2018 and completed it in April 2022. She then decided to seek a job in Japan before her visa expired in September.

However, she was found dead in a Tokyo alley on May 2, and Japanese police forces are still looking into the circumstances that led to her death, according to Japanese news website NHK.

Her old teacher and friends made donations and co-ordinated with local competent agencies to hold a funeral and assist in sending her ashes back home.
