The exhibition at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice will take place at a time when the US Federal Court of Appeal is preparing for a hearing on the Vietnamese AO victims' lawsuit slated for mid this year.
This is the second time a similar photo exhibition by Goro Nakamura is held in the US. Last October, a month-long event entitled "Silent Spring: Photos of Agent Orange/Dioxin" in New York, USA , was also organised at the John Jay College .
The exhibition made people aware of all the pains suffered by AO victims, not only in Vietnam, but in the US as well. The heart-rending photos such as “Pains of American veterans”, “Baby Hung in a dead forest”, and “Victims in Bien Hoa,” will be on display
Mr Nakamura said that after this event, he plans to organise mobile exhibitions across the US in order to help the Americans understand better the impacts of AO/dioxin which the US troops sprayed during the war in Vietnam.
