It is difficult to predict the developments of A/H1N1 flu in the coming time, though it has showed signs of warning in recent times, said a health official on December 23.
About 85-96 percent of tested samples were positive for A/H1N1, said Nguyen Huy Nga, Head of the Health Ministry’s Preventive Medicine and Environment Department at the National Steering Committee on Human Flu Prevention meeting.
During the past week, Vietnam reported 36 more positive cases of A/H1N1 and two deaths, raising the total H1N1 infected cases throughout the country to 11,083 and 52 fatalities by December 22.
The latest two deaths were a 36-month-old boy in Thanh Hoa province and a 34-month-old boy in Hanoi.
The Health Ministry on December 22 submitted to the Prime Minister a plan to use A/H1N1 vaccines in 2009-2010.
