This is the largest sponsored project to take care of disadvantage elderly people implemented through the Vietnamese Elderly People Association (VEPA).

Established in 2007, the VEPA has received total donations of nearly VND11 billion from organisations and individuals.

The fund has helped elderly people in the northern mountain regions, and the central and highland provinces to overcome the aftermath of natural disasters.

It also helps build houses for those in provinces such as Soc Trang, Quang Nam, Dien Bien Phu, Hoa Binh and Lai Chau and has invested in the first phase of a project to construct a health care centre for elderly people in Quang Binh.
