91 European families arrive in HCM City for adoption process

VOV.VN - A ceremony has been held recently in Ho Chi Minh City to hand over adopted children to 91 families from various European nations.

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Justice, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with other relevant ministries and agencies, and 22 cities and provinces where the adopted children are from, in addition to eight European diplomatic representative agencies.

This comes following Vietnamese children being adopted by a total of 91 families from France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.

The Ministry of Justice believes that this event demonstrates the humanity, efforts, and commitment of the Government and other competent agencies of Vietnam in ensuring that adopted children are given proper care, and a loving family environment which is in their best interests.

In her address, Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Pilar Mendez Jimenez expressed her thanks to the Vietnamese Government, the Ministry of Justice, the municipal People's Committee, and relevant localities for facilitating the adoption, adding that diplomatic representatives from the eight countries involved in the process hailed the efforts of the nation in various preparatory work to ensure the safety of the ceremony.
