At a press briefing in Hanoi on May 29, the organising board announced that 32 of the best-performing teams will advance to the final round, which is scheduled from June 8 to 13. The national champion will go on to represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon 2025 in Mongolia.

Held under the theme "Robot Basketball", this year’s contest not only serves as a platform for technical innovation, but also offers a dynamic training ground for students to sharpen their problem-solving abilities, technical skills, and professional mindset.

As part of the event, a series of related activities will be held, including a robot exhibition showcasing standout products and technological solutions from participating teams, enterprises, and universities; a Robotics Connect event to link students with universities, businesses, experts, and the broader robotics community; and the Robotics Connect Conference, which will feature discussions on emerging tech trends, career pathways, and the development of high-quality talent in robotics, AI, and automation.

Vietnam finishes third at 2023 ABU Robocon
