The Prime Minister has signed a decision asking the Finance Ministry to deliver 3,620 tonnes of rice from the national reserve to assist people in the central provinces of Kon Tum and Khanh Hoa and the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau during Tet.
Kon Tum will receive 2,000 tonnes, Khanh Hoa 620 tonnes, and Lai Chau 1,000 tonnes.
So far, the government has provided nearly 35,000 tonnes of rice in aid to 15 provinces and cities nationwide to help people enjoy Tet and prepare for the start of a new crop this year.
