40 firefighters tackle 'huge blaze' at leather store in HCM City

VOV.VN - Forty firefighters and six fire engines battled a huge blaze at a leather bag retail store that started about 1am, Wednesday, September 20 in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, reported local officials.

Witnesses say they feared the building on 59 Ban Co Street in Ward 3 would explode and described the fire scene as like a disaster movie.

Fortunately, the owner of the store and his family are able to get out of the building unscathed.

It takes firefighters about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

Photos show the charred remains of the store looks like something from a disaster movie.
