30,000 Vietnamese workers sit Korean exam

12,500 candidates who pass the Korean language exam will have the opportunity to work in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The information was released at a press conference held in Hanoi on April 27 by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).

On April 25, the MoLISA in coordination with the RoK’s Human Resources Development (HRD) Agency held the exam for nearly 30,000 Vietnamese workers.

The result of the exam will be announced on May 13. About 12,500 of the candidates who pass the exam will have the opportunity work in the RoK.

Kim Nam Ihl, Deputy Head of the RoK’s HRD Agency, said that currently almost 45,000 Vietnamese people are working in the RoK, accounting for 26 percent of the country’s total number of foreign guest workers.
