3 killed, one injured as embankment collapses in Lao Cai

VOV.VN - On April 14, three workers were killed and one injured while constructing an embankment in Duyen Hai ward, in the northern province of Lao Cai. 

They were buried when a mass of soil and rocks collapsed. Three workers were killed while one was hospitalized.

The accident took place at 7:40am on April 14 while the workers were in the process of building an embankment behind private house No 083 on Dien Bien road, Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai province.

Local authorities and relevant agencies made a swift arrival at the scene to carry out rescue work and sent their condolences to families with victims killed in the incident.

Nguyen Thi Vi Hue, vice chairwoman of Lao Cai People’s Committee said the province will support families with victims killed and injured in the incident and will provide labour accident compensation for them.
