200kg wartime bomb discovered on Ha Tinh riverbank
VOV.VN - An unexploded bomb weighing nearly 200kg was found on the bank of the Ngan Sau River in the central province of Ha Tinh on October 13.

The device was first spotted by local fishermen near Village 9, who noticed a suspicious object partially exposed on a collapsed section of the riverbank and promptly alerted authorities.
Inspection results confirmed that it was a wartime unexploded bomb with a faded serial number and a rusted body. It measures around 1.5 metres in length, and 25 centimetres in diameter.

Authorities have cordoned off the site, set up warning signs, and deployed personnel to guard the area around the clock while awaiting a disposal plan by the province’s Military Command.
Ha Tinh was once a strategic supply route during the war and endured thousands of bombing raids, leaving behind unexploded ordnance buried underground despite numerous clearance efforts after the war.
Previously, a wartime bomb was also discovered by local residents near the same location.
