2 motorbikes crash head on in HCM City, killing 1, injuring 3

VOV.VN - Authorities say a crash involving two motorbikes has killed one person and seriously injured three others in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City, reports the Zing online newspaper.

Emergency crews were called to the crash near the Do Xuan Hop junction in the ward of Binh Trung Dong on the evening of Wednesday, August 2. The motorbikes were travelling in opposite directions and contacted each other head on.

Both bikes had a male driver and a male passenger. One of the male drivers died at the scene. The other driver and passengers were taken to a local hospital all in serious condition.

Police identified the driver that was killed as Le Van Ut, 25, and his passenger as Dang Van Be Tu, 37. The driver and passenger on the second motorbike were Le Van Hung, 24, and Nguyen Chi Lanh, 23.

Authorities don't yet know if alcohol was a factor.
