The walk is expected to involve almost 12,000 people including Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.

The money collected on the occasion will be donated to the “funds for the poor” in the districts of 7, 8, Nha Be and Binh Chanh; the “Sports Talent Support Fund” and the “Toward one Heart” fund of HCM City Television.

The Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk programme, co-sponsored by the Phu My Hung Corporation, the People’s Committee of Districts 7, 8, Nha Be and Binh Chanh and the District 7 Sports Centre, has raised as much as VND4 billion from 53,000 people over the past four years.
