11 Vietnamese nationals quarantined in Cao Bang after illegal entry
VOV.VN - Border guards operating in Cao Bang province have detected a total of 11 Vietnamese citizens as they were in the process of attempting to illegally enter the country from Guangdong in China.
Once under questioning at a local police station, the suspects, made up of a group of eight men and three women, admitted to previously illegally crossing the border from the nation into China for the purpose of work.
The group were initially picked up by border forces at national milestone No.876 in Ha Lang district, with each individual undergoing a medical check-up before being immediately placed into quarantine as part of procedures to prevent the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The latest discovery comes after a number of cases of illegal entry were discovered by border forces in Cao Bang over the past few days. In line with these cases of illegal entry, two Vietnamese suspects, Hoang Van Trong and Dam Van Hai, both of Thi Hoa commune in Ha Lang district, were arrested for organising the illegal exit of individuals from the country.
