Speaking at the prize-giving ceremony, deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the achievements of the 10 most outstanding young people of 2009 and five others.
He expressed his hope that the 15 honoured youths along with the nation’s 24 million other young Vietnamese will continue to study, work, train and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
Over the past 14 years, the award has honoured 140 outstanding young people who have made significant contributions to society.
The event is not only a pivotal point in Vietnam Youth Month but also a motivation for the young generation to look towards the future and train for national development.
