Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Lim Thuan Kuan gave a reception in Hanoi on August 9 to mark the 41^st National Day of his country.

Speaking at the reception, the Singaporean diplomat said that Singapore and Vietnam have made their utmost to promote their friendship and cooperation, and that many Singaporean companies and corporations have invested and expanded their projects in Vietnam.

For his part, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan shared the ambassador’s view and noted that Singapore has been always Vietnam's most important trade partner over the past years. He said he hopes that the two countries' friendly and cooperative ties will further develop.
