The first session of the seventh Lao National Assembly closed in Vientiane on June 24 after 10 days of sitting.
During the session, Lao NA deputies discussed many important issues in the country and passed several plans.

They included the organisational and personnel framework of the State, parliament and government, as well as tasks, targets and plans for each sector in the seventh five-year socio-economic development plan for 2011-2015 and State budget for the 2011-2012 period.

The NA deputies proposed that the government supplement some regulations on agriculture and rural development, and poverty reduction and abuse of authority, as well as incentives for trade and investment, and fighting corruption.
