Resolution 68 fuels confidence in private economic sector

VOV.VN - At the ongoing 80-year national achievement exhibition in Hanoi, private economic sector enterprises present 'Made in Vietnam' high-tech products and demonstrate their production capacity, creativity, and international integration, supported by Resolution 68, which clearly defines the sector’s role in promoting a model of cooperation, innovation, efficiency, and sustainability while aspiring to reach regional and global markets.

Enterprises striving for greater reach

At the “AI Nation” pavilion, Vu Anh Tu, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation, emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) represents FPT’s journey to serve the nation and help Vietnam advance in the new era. Pioneering AI research for 13 years, FPT has now become a leading technology group, developing a comprehensive AI ecosystem, from infrastructure to platforms, solutions, and services used by hundreds of millions monthly.

“FPT’s AI solutions and applications ‘Made in Vietnam’ have provided significant benefits for the business community and users. Supporting Vietnamese enterprises to enter the AI era, FPT contributes to carrying out government resolutions on private economic development and digital economy toward building a dynamic and competitive small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector over the next 5-10 years, Vu Anh Tu affirmed.

An Cuong Wood Joint Stock Company, showcasing over three decades of development, conveyed the message: “An Cuong, accompanying Vietnam’s sustainable growth.” Nguyen Trung Kien, Branch Director of An Cuong in Hanoi, described the exhibition as a historic and meaningful event marking 80 years of national history. It also serves as a bridge connecting the past, present, and future of Vietnam’s industrial sector, including contributions from private enterprises.

“Participating in the exhibition is not only an honor but also an opportunity for An Cuong to connect with international partners and expand markets in Southeast Asia and globally. Driven by Resolution 68, An Cuong believes it can grow further in accessing new technologies, learning from export promotion experiences, and contributing to national export revenue,” Kien said optimistically.

SUNHOUSE Group also proudly highlighted its achievements at the exhibition. Chairman Nguyen Xuan Phu emphasized the company’s strong investment in core technologies, research, and production capacity, particularly for high-tech products such as microchips and semiconductor systems.

“With confidence inspired by Resolution 68, promoting research and production as national strength, SUNHOUSE is determined to assert Vietnam’s position in global value chains and contribute to the country’s development,” Nguyen Xuan Phu stated.

Strategic importance of enterprise linkages

Nguyen Van, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Association of Supporting Industry Enterprises (HANSIBA), said that after 80 years of independence and nearly 40 years of renovation, many private economic sector enterprises have grown, established brands, and expanded regionally and globally.

However, the private economic sector still faces barriers limiting growth, lacking scale and competitiveness, and not fully meeting expectations as a core driver of the national economy.

With Resolution 68, establishing enterprise linkage mechanisms, especially for small and medium private economic sector firms, is an urgent measure and a strategic key to strengthening economic resilience and enhancing national competitiveness in global supply chains.

“Only when the Vietnamese business community is truly connected, moving towards innovation and professionalization, can the nation elevate its position in an ever-changing global market. The major challenge is for Vietnamese enterprises in general, and supporting industries in particular, to strive, enhance capabilities, invest in technology and production lines, and pursue lean management,” Nguyen Van emphasized.

Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy, Executive Director of the Private Economic Development Research Division (Division IV), stated that the business community is eager for Resolution 68 to be carried out, thereby creating development momentum. Division IV highlights public-private solutions to remove grassroots obstacles, improve access to preferential credit, and provide support on land, taxes, and policies.

“Additionally, Division IV will develop indices for enterprises to self-assess and provide objective feedback, enabling the government to manage using data systems. In early September 2025, the Vietnam Private Economic Panorama Executive Council will convene to introduce the model and select key topics for dialogue with the Prime Minister and government leaders on Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13),” Thuy added.

Feedback from enterprises and management authorities indicates that Resolution 68 is not only an economic policy but also a strong political signal: the State will accompany private economic sector enterprises, encourage creativity, and promote a modern, competitive, and sustainable business environment, while creating a “golden opportunity” for the private economic community to break through and make greater contributions to national prosperity.
