Le Quoc Cuong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs and Secretary of the Election Council, said that turnouts were high at three polling stations, such as Ha Hoi village, Thuong Tin district (100 percent), Xuan Thu village, Soc Son district (99.22 percent) and Van Khe village (74.91 percent).

At 64 other polling stations more than 90 percent of voters cast their ballots to elect more deputies to communal people’s councils.

*** More than 12,381 voters Nam Dinh province went to 19 polling stations in Y Yen, Truc Ninh, Nghia Hung, Hai Hau and Giao Thuy to elect an addition 39 deputies to the communal people’s councils.

*** 28,297 out of 31,438 voters in Thanh Hoa province cast their ballots to elect more deputies to the communal people’s councils.

All re-elections and extra-elections took place in a democratic and lawful manner.
