The Foreign Ministry’s National Border Committee has launched the English-language version of its website on Vietnam’s sovereign boundaries.

The website covers news, events, and activities of Party and State leaders as well as localities relating to borderline management and national defence on both land and the sea.

It updates protocols and agreements on border demarcation, marker planting and border gate management, and agreements on demarcation of sea, economic exclusive zones and continental shelf signed between Vietnam and other countries.

Documents on international law and historical, legal documents asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spartly) archipelagos along with photos, maps, documentary films, songs on border, sea, islands are also available on the website.

The website at www.biengioilanhtho.gov.vn began operation on December 3, 2009 in the Vietnamese language, providing information and reflecting the Party and State’s official viewpoints on sovereign boundaries.
