Both parties discussed the documents signed in 1999 between the VOV and Radio Thailand in the field of radio and a new draft of co-operation documents on information and radio and television broadcasting.
They emphasised on the need to expand co-operation on telecommunications to strengthen the distribution of information and promote both countries. They agreed that over the past 10 years they have carried out previous agreements effectively. They have proposed a number of measures to boost co-operation, such as exchanging experience in presenting news and co-producing commercials.

Deputy head of the PRD Paitoon Sriraws expressed his delight at the growing ties between the two networks, saying that Thailand always attaches great importance to strengthening relations with Vietnam and the VOV in particular.
VOV deputy general director Dao Duy Hua said bilateral co-operation has proved very effectively over the past 10 years and expressed that the meeting will help boost co-operation between the VOV and PRD to better serve the increasing demand for information in the both countries.
