The Government of Vietnam has successfully helped its citizens return home from unrest ravaged Libya.

This remark came from Fernando Calado, head of Emergency and Post Crisis Division en International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

Mr Fernando said on March 8 that the Government of Vietnam has well co-ordinated with private organizations, local authorities and the IOM to quickly complete the registration and other procedures to bring its workers home safely.

To help Vietnam and other nations to bring their citizens from Libya, the IOM has established a mechanism for co-ordinating with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and set up its branch offices in Tunisia, Egypt and Nigeria to help the governments concerned to bring their citizens back home.
