Vietnam’s oil and gas operations within its national sovereignty

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s oil and gas operations take place in waters under the country's national sovereignty and jurisdiction, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang has affirmed.

Thu Hang told the press on July 28 that the operations in the sea areas that are completely under Vietnam's sovereign rights and jurisdiction, which were established in line with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Vietnam asks relevant parties to respect Vietnam’s legitimate rights and interests while positively and practically contributing to peace and cooperation in the East Sea.
