Vietnam’s first newly-appointed ambassador to Botswana, Nguyen Manh Hung has presented his credentials to the country’s president, Seretse Ian Khama.

While receiving the new Vietnamese ambassador, President Khama said the event would help boost relations between the two countries.

He also expressed his warm sentiments toward Vietnam and its people and his wish to further develop cooperation with the Southeast Asian country.

Ambassador Hung said he was honoured to become the first Vietnamese ambassador to the south African country, and wished to contribute to the development of multifaceted cooperation, particularly in economics and trade, between the two countries.
