An art exhibition was held in Vientiane, Laos on Jan. 25 to mark the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3).

On display are 50 colour lacquer paintings and wood-engravings created by Vietnamese painters.

The artworks give visitors a better understanding of the landscape, customs and people of Vietnam, especially the country’s positive changes under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The month-long exhibition is being jointly held by the Vietnam Culture Centre in Laos, Laos’s Ministry of Information and Culture’s Fine Arts Department and Vietnam’s Fine Arts College.
