In the messages, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong expressed their pleasure with Laos’ achievements in national defence and construction over the past 35 years.

Under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Lao fraternal people have maintained national independence and sovereignty, political stability, security, national defence and social order, ensured unceasing economic growth, and gained achievements in other areas, such as education, culture, health care, poverty reduction and improvement of living conditions, and raised the country’s position in regional and international arenas.
