Both parties informed each other of their socio-economic development and agreed to strengthen bilateral relation and cooperation, especially training programmes for government officials.

Kon Tum agreed to provide the Lao province with personnel training for its officials as well as vocational training in textiles, the clothing industry, construction and electricity.

Deputy Secretary Khammoune Vongphachanh thanked Vietnam’s support in many fields, particularly in personnel training.

On the occasion, the Lao delegation paid a visit to Kon Tum province’s College of Teacher Training where 18 Lao students are studying.
