The Vietnamese province of Quang Tri and the Lao province of Salvan have erected border markers to strengthen their time-honoured special friendship.
The provinces aim to complete the planting of 12 border markers by the end of this year. In total, they will have 34 border markers in place and another at La Lay international border gate.
The leaders of both provinces agreed to follow the Border Agreement reached by Vietnam and Laos. They also pledged to jointly build landmark number 635 at the La Lay international border gate.
