Vietnamese in Eastern Europe upbeat about success of Party Congress

VOV.VN - Vietnamese in numerous Eastern European nations have expressed their elation at the success of the freshly-concluded 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

Nguyen Van Duc, vice president of the Vietnamese Association in Odessa province, Ukraine, vice president of the Vietnamese War Veterans’ Association in Ukraine, and president of the Vietnamese War Veterans’ Association in Odessa, hailed the resolution adopted during the course of the congress.

The document sets forth plans for the country over the next five to 10 years, Duc said, adding that the Party has taken drastic steps to fight corruption. This is in addition to utilising the skills of Vietnamese nationals both at home and abroad, whilst promoting democracy and consensus, as reflected through efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The success of the congress can be viewed as matching the various aspirations of Vietnamese citizens, he said, calling on the Party and the Government for more focus to be put on overseas members of the Vietnamese community who wish to invest in their homeland.

Le Van Tu, permanent vice president of the Vietnamese Association in Odessa and permanent vice president of the Vietnamese War Veterans in Odessa, said the congress’s motto of "solidarity - democracy - discipline - creativity - development" is in line with people’s wishes.

Nguyen Van Sinh, a member of the Vietnamese Association in Odessa, lauded the thorough preparations made for the congress, adding that the correct officials have been elected to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Party Central Committee.

He therefore expressed his hopes that the Party will enjoy a strong performance in anti-corruption efforts in order to raise public trust and help take the nation to new heights.

Nguyen Xuan Hoan, a student in Russia, expressed his interest in the numerous strategic breakthroughs, most notably human resources development, and his belief that through the Party’s leadership guidelines and policies in the 13th tenure, scientists and researchers will have opportunities to effectively utilise their talents.
