The Vietnamese embassy in China held a ceremony on August 23 to celebrate Vietnam’s 65th National Day, and the 65th anniversary of Vietnam’s diplomatic sector and to receive the Labour Order, second class, and emulation flag from the Government.

On addressing the event, Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho reviewed the great achievements of the Vietnamese diplomatic sector. He confirmed that the three main pillars of diplomacy remain political security, economics and culture, and are developing comprehensively.

Diplomacy contributes to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and creates the right conditions for the industrialisation and modernisation process, Mr Tho noted.

The Vietnamese embassy in China has made a big contribution to the great achievements made by Vietnam’s diplomatic sector over the past 65 years. The Vietnam-China relationship has entered a new period of cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership.

In recognition of its efforts, the Vietnamese embassy in China has been awarded the Labour Order, second class, and emulation banner for the second time.
