Vietnamese businesses and their counterparts from Russia’s Ulyanosk province have been urged to promote the exchange of information to identify areas in which they can cooperate.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh went on a fact-finding tour to Ulyanosk province from April 21-23 during which he met and worked with provincial Governor Sergei Morozov.

Dinh briefed Morozov on Vietnam’s current socio-economic development and introduced the country’s potential as well as its role and position in the international and regional arena.

The ambassador acknowledged that Vietnam’s wide-ranging achievements over the years are partly a result of contributions made by Russian friends, including those in Ulyanosk province.

Morozov said his province is willing to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in areas of economics, culture, education, and information technology, and will offer a number of incentives to the Vietnamese community and businesses investing in Ulvanosk.

He supported the idea of opening a Vietnamese restaurant and contributing Vietnamese style building in his province.

While in the Russian province, the Vietnamese delegation attended the first International Air Transport Forum, and held working sessions with the President of Ulyanosk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Directors of the provincial Department of Immigration and the Department of Education to discuss possibilities of cooperation.
