Vietnamese and Chinese Party officials exchange views on bilateral ties

VOV.VN - Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu held a phone conversation with Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee’s Commission for Discipline Inspection Zhao Leji on September 7.

The two officials agreed that relations between the two Parties and nations have been growing steadily, with high-level meetings maintained frequently in flexible forms.

Both sides have intensified exchanges between ministries, agencies and localities as a means of consolidating political trust, while bilateral economic and trade ties have also progressed, along with increasing mutual support in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Tu said he hopes that the two sides would continue maintaining regular high-level exchanges between the two Parties and countries in flexible forms, improving the efficiency of cooperation mechanisms, sharing experience and working hand in hand in combating the pandemic, as well as maintaining a peaceful environment, and properly settling differences, including issues at sea, by peaceful means in accordance with international law.

Regarding ties between the two commissions, Tu proposed Chinese side assist Vietnam in intensive training on inspection, corruption prevention and control via various forms and at appropriate levels.

Zhao, in turn, applauded the results obtained by the Vietnamese Party and State Party in inspection, supervision and discipline, the battle against corruption over the past years, and especially the pandemic containment efforts.

The pair consented to work closely and redouble efforts to effectively implement agreements reached by both nations’ senior leaders, with a major focus on promoting the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a healthy, stable and sustainable manner for mutual benefits.
