Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nguyen Phuong Nga made this statement on April 29 while answering reporters’ questions on Vietnam’s response to the preliminary reconciliation deal signed between Fatah and Hamas on April 27.

“Vietnam supports peaceful settlement of the Palestine - Israel conflict based on the relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, towards a comprehensive, fair and sustainable solution, ensuring the legitimate interests of the concerned parties,” she said.
