At a meeting with local authorities, Mr Trong expressed his hope that the cooperation between provinces of the two neighbouring countries will be expanded to be on par with the current relationship between the two nations.

Qian Yunlu, Secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, affirmed his belief that the relationship between the two countries will be strengthened thanks to the efforts of the two countries’ leaders.

On the same day, NA Chairman Trong visited the Harbin Electric Inc, which is an active partner in the construction of power projects in northern Vietnam, such as the Cao Ngan and Cam Pha thermal-electric power plants and the Tuyen Quang hydroelectric power plant.
