Vietnam is keen to boost multifaceted cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in line with the expectations of the two governments and peoples, said Vietnamese ambassador to the UAE Tran Ngoc Thach.

At a recent ceremony to present his credentials to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mr Thach conveyed best regards from State President Truong Tan Sang and other senior leaders to President Nahyan and his wife, adding that Vietnamese people welcome his upcoming official visit to Vietnam.

Vietnam-UAE relations have made great strides over the past 19 years since diplomatic ties were established in 1993. The countries have created a firm foundation for promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in trade and investment, Mr Thach said.

Along with seven other ambassadors who also presented their credentials at this time, Ambassador Thach expressed determination to enhance cooperation with the UAE and wished the UAE President continues success in his career.
