Vietnam viewed as important partner for Uzbekistan

VOV.VN - Uzbekistan considers the nation to be an important partner and a bridge that can help the Central Asian country develop relations with other Southeast Asian nations.

This comes after Uzbekistani Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov made remarks when receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia and Uzbekistan Ngo Duc Manh, who presented his letter of credence at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Moscow on December 21.
During the course of the meeting, Minister Kamilov applauded Uzbekistan’s traditional relations and sound friendship with the nation, expressing hope that co-operation with the country can be expanded in agriculture and light industry.

Furthermore, the Uzbek Minister briefed those in attendance on the socio-economic development achievements of the Central Asian nation over recent years, affirming that they have been able to maintain win-win co-operation with neighbours and foreign partners.

In an interview given with the National Television of Uzbekistan after the meeting, Ambassador Manh spoke glowingly of the friendly nature of bilateral ties, adding that the country is seeking to intensify delegation exchanges across all levels. Indeed, this will involve greater economic and trading co-operation ties, in addition to increased people-to-people exchanges between both sides.

The Vietnamese diplomat thanked the Uzbekistani Embassy in Moscow for their effective co-operation with as a way of fostering greater ties between the two nations moving forward.
