Regarding the outcomes of the dialogue, the Acting Assistant Secretary of State and the head of the US dialogue delegation said that he was satisfied with the success of the dialogue which took place in a frank and constructive manner.  This was the outcome of the great effort and progress made by both countries in recent years.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pham Binh Minh, head of the Vietnamese delegation also highlighted the success of the dialogue in which, three joint statements were released, serving as a legal foundation for both countries to enhance relations in economics, culture and social affairs.

More importantly, mutual understanding will continue to be promoted to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields, said Minh.
