A delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security led by Minister General Le Hong Anh is on a working visit to the US from April 12-21 at the invitation of a number of US government agencies.
During talks between the delegation and US law enforcement agencies, both sides agreed to further cooperation through exchanging information and experience in the fight against terrorism, trans-national crime, drugs, human trafficking and money laundering.
They also agreed to enhance cooperation between specialised agencies to ensure social order, security and law enforcement in each country.
While in the US, Minister Le Hong Anh is scheduled to work with the Department of State and some MPs’ offices, as well as visit Vietnamese Embassy and representative offices.
Following the previous US visits by State President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Minister Anh’s visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
