At the reception for his Spanish guest, Lieut. Gen. Vinh expressed his hope that the current Vietnam visit by Constantino Mendez Martinez would contribute to boosting friendship and mutual understanding between the two armies and people.

The two sides discussed their individual socio-economic situations, security and national defence, as well as a plan to boost the exchange of visits at all levels, and bolster cooperation in national defence industries and in training.

During their stay in Vietnam, Constantino Mendez Martinez and his entourage visited the Presidential Palace relic site, the High Command of the Navy, the Temple of Literature , the Museum of Military History of Vietnam, Ha Long Bay and some units of the Vietnam People’s Army.
