While receiving Denmark’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Jorgen Steen Sorensen, in Hanoi on July 7, Mr Triet thanked Denmark for its practical assistance to Vietnam, especially in training officials and prosecutors for the Vietnam Supreme People’s Procuracy.

Vietnam is determined to implement judicial reform and build strong and transparent judiciary agencies, said Mr Triet.

He expressed his pleasure at the positive development of relations between Vietnam and Denmark, saying the European Union member country is Vietnam’s important partner in industry, agriculture and poverty reduction. He affirmed that cooperative programmes between the two countries have effectively helped Vietnam fulfil many national targets.
